Hello there! I'm Andrew, founder of Resilient Beings. Thank you for visiting my website to learn more about how I can help you thrive in body and mind.
After years of chronic back pain from a stressful work/life balance and unhealthy habits, I wasn't in the best shape, physically or mentally. My body was sending me a massive signal to change. Fortunately, I discovered two passions - adventure in the outdoors and sustainable movement - that transformed my life in ways I never imagined possible.
Now, as a certified Personal Trainer and Movement Coach, based in the beautiful town of Chirk, roughly halfway between Oswestry and Wrexham, I want to share the skills I have attained, and the lessons I have learned by helping you. Wherever you're starting from, whether injury recovery, higher fitness goals, or just beginning to exercise and get moving again, I would be honoured to be your guide.
Personal Training and Movement: My personalised approach takes your whole being into consideration - body, mind and spirit. Together we'll create a health and wellness plan tailored to your unique needs and abilities. Sometimes our minds limit us more than our bodies, so I will support you in working through any mental blocks with compassion.
My goal is to help you thrive in a sustainable way, avoiding the "no pain, no gain" mentality. With support and by identifying small wins quickly, we can make a big difference in your physical and mental wellbeing over the long term.

As a Level 3 Personal Trainer registered with CIMSPA, I've dedicated myself to helping individuals achieve their fitness goals and live healthier, happier lives.
My journey didn't stop with basic qualifications—it led me to a realisation: there was something more I could do to truly make a difference in the lives of my clients.
Furthermore most clients I encountered were struggling with, or had recently experienced, pain, injury, or maintaining a good level of movement health during pregnancy and with postpartum recovery.
These encounters ignited a desire to seek out specific knowledge and skills to provide even better support and guidance.
I've invested in specialised training, including a focused qualification in pre and postnatal training. This expertise ensures that I can offer safe, effective workouts tailored to the unique needs of expecting and new mothers.
In addition, I've immersed myself in the Functional Movement System (FMS), gaining qualifications in key areas such as:
- Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Level 1 and 2
- Fundamental Capacity Screen (FCS)
- Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)
These qualifications equip me with the tools to assess movement patterns, identify limitations, and design personalised training programs that address specific needs and goals.
